Chatham Camera Club - Posing & Lighting Presentation - Tuesday, October 24th 2017 at 7:30-9pm
During this presentations I will help you break down the barrier of posing with a few simple techniques.

Windsor Orchid Society - Magic Orchid Macro - Sunday, October 22nd 2017 at 9-10am Short walkabout afterwards.
Cost: Free with entrance fee into the show $6

Adam Harpula will demonstrate unique methods to photograph Orchids using simple, inexpensive supplies. He emphasizes that the right light and a little effort can produce great images. Often people think that lack of equipment is holding them back from taking amazing photos. Adam's goal is to make you believe that creativity is the most important tool in producing photo magic.

 

Photography Workshops with Adam

 

Scenery Workshops - $89 - Max 6 Students
Windsor - Riverfront, Detroit Skyline - Wednesday, August 30th - 6:30 to 9:30pm
Sarnia - Bluewater Bridge - Thursday, August 31st - 6:30 to 9:30pm

We will focus on an iconic landscape scene as it changes through the different stages of Golden Hour, Sunset, Blue Hour & Night. In this way, we will slow down the process in order for you to get comfortable with your camera settings and learn what to look for when taking landscape images. We will focus on settings and composition, which will change considerably as the light changes. I will help to make sure that you are able to go home with a great images worthy of hanging on your wall. We will be using Program, Aperture or Manual Mode, whichever you are comfortable with and willing to learn. You will need a tripod.

Portrait Workshops - $139 - Max 4 Students

We will walk around together in various indoor & outdoor locations to get a good understanding of how to find and work with available light. We will work with window light, sunlight, reflectors & street lights. We will be working with models and each student will have opportunities for practice at each location. We will work from evening, through sunset, into the night in order to work with various light conditions. We will practice both a candid style and fashionable style of posing, so you can be better prepared to photograph your family or portrait sessions. Topics include: Finding your personal style - Using a slow and deliberate method - Working alone and with an assistant - Typical camera settings and exposure - Using simple lighting to create amazing results - Reading the location - Casual posing & fashion posing - Learning to see how the camera sees - How to guide and communicate with your subjects and achieve natural & believable expressions - Finesse and In Camera Artistry - Identifying posing problems and creating solutions - The importance of working with and seeing the beauty in everything and everyone.

Payments, Cancellations & Notes
I will keep the workshop open even if there is only one participant. Advance payment is required to book your spot. Cancellations later than 2 weeks prior to the workshop are subject to a $15 administration fee. In the case of a cancellation by me, a full refund will be issued to each student. All students are responsible for their own equipment, safety and food; I recommend that you bring water and a snack, plus clothing to suit unexpected weather. Rain date will typically be the next day. Any who cannot make the rain date are welcome to the following workshop date or a refund. There may be parking fees or entrance fees at some locations; when possible I will notify you of this in advance.

I want you to feel comfortable with your investment. If you are not satisfied with the material taught, you will get 100% of your money back. Note that requests for a refund need to be done within two days after the workshop.

Usage rights for portfolio images:
In most cases you will have full rights to use the images in any way that you like. Some restrictions apply to using photos of other students or models that have not given permission to use the images. I will make every effort to allow the use of the images.

 

One on One Photography Lessons

One-on-One coaching is the fastest and most effective method of improving your photography. Whether you would like to; improve your family photos, learn the skills to become a photographer or improve the photos you use to advertise your business on social media. Our sessions are personalized for you, so that you can apply what you have learned immediately. Sessions available to cover any field of photography or photo editing at any skill level.

Flexible schedule. Outdoors or in your home. Travel within 50km included. For portrait training, you are welcome to bring someone to pose as a model or we can provide a model for an additional fee.
